Catching a Flight To / Within / From the UAE

As the new year is at our doorstep, I feel I'm ready to start working on my resolutions right away.
#1) improve language: read those books on the shelf & write more often

So, on the first hour of the last day of this year, I'm starting to work on my writing skills; and what better way than a blog post. So here goes my current thoughts typed out.

Catching a Flight To / Within / From the UAE

UAE is fast developing - especially Dubai. More buildings, better infrastructure, more investment, more oportunities for work, and more expatriates recruited for employment.

Meanwhile, the cost of living for the working class in the UAE is going up by the day. People are sending their families back to their homelands and living in shared accomodation.

Spending working hours in Dubai in the day gets you money. But the same city would loot you if you choose to spend the night there. Rents go up in Dubai, so people choose to sleep in Sharjah. More people, more traffic. You might sometimes feel like catching a flight from Sharjah to Dubai, just to skip the jammed roads.

China maybe having the highest population in the world, but when it comes to the GCC, Indians form the largest group of expats. Speaking of the UAE in particular, Indians outnumber Emiratis by a great margin - 139.8% to be precise. Exactly why the economic depression hit India harder than Dubai.

But the advantage of being the majority comes while speaking of air travel. There are about a hundred flights daily, connecting UAE to India. And thanks to the competition, plenty of budget airlines are coming up offering the cheapest possible airfare.

Now putting all this together, do we see in the near future, Indians catching a flight to dubai for work everyday and then flying back home in the evening? How convenient!

P.S. just finished writing an article about the growth of UAE to what is is now; or rather expressing how much I hate that place! That article came with a word limit, so I couldn't fit all this there.
